Rising within the Las Vegas alt-rock scene, powerhouse artist Kat Meoz has released her newest single “Burn Down.”
Testing the boundaries between genres, Kat alchemizes influences from modern pop and rock-and-roll to blues and alternative rock in an explosive amalgamation of sound with popular singles such as “Run Tonight,” “Whatever I Want,” and “Royalty.”

The song captures the disorienting whirlwind of emotions that comes with a sudden loss; a life cut short where the remaining survivors navigate the shock, confusion, and survivor’s guilt surrounding it. An edgy, pace-driven single with heavy percussion, listeners are forced to sit with the discomfort of the spiraling emotions.
Detailed lyrics like “What a way to go / They found him in his room with a snow globe, found him all alone with a bloody nose / When were you going to show me what you wrote? / Kept it to yourself and fed me false hope” display the pain of reliving the scenario over and over again.
