Moon Panda unveils new track ahead of album and U.S. tour

Date:

Moon Panda has released their latest track, “Lost World,” from their upcoming album Dumb Luck. The song explores the fear of a long-term relationship crumbling and the emotional weight that comes with it.

The duo, bassist and vocalist Maddy Myers and guitarist Gustav Moltke, are also lifelong partners. Myers shared,

“To contemplate having to start over and figure out who you are again—the older and more settled in this life and relationship I get, the more terrifying the idea becomes.”

In 2020, the two briefly tried to separate their romantic relationship from their music-making but ultimately realized the bond they share is inseparable, both in love and in creativity. That connection continues to fuel their work as Moon Panda.

The band’s new album is set for release on Friday, Oct. 3, and is available for pre-order. To promote the project, Moon Panda will embark on a U.S. tour beginning Oct. 16 in Boston and wrapping up Nov. 8 in San Diego.

“Lost World” gives listeners a preview of the dreamy, introspective sound the duo is known for, offering something for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
