Molly Santana plots her own legend on ‘Molly and Her Week of Wonders’ tour

Date:

Get ready to enter Molly Santana’s strange and sparkling world. The rising LA-based rapper has officially announced her first-ever headlining trek, Molly and Her Week of Wonders Tour, a 15-date North American sprint that kicks off July 22 in Denver and wraps August 12 at San Francisco’s The Independent. For an artist who’s long blurred genre boundaries with the flick of a manicured finger, this tour is shaping up to be her boldest statement yet.

The announcement arrives hot on the heels of Santana’s genre-bending sophomore album, Molly and Her Week of Wonders, an ambitious 17-track opus that filters the chaos of coming-of-age through a surrealist lens. Drawing inspiration from the 1970 Czech cult film Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Santana weaves a dreamy, disorienting tapestry of ragey trap beats, haunted alt-pop, and unfiltered confessionals. The result? A hypnotic record that Complex called the work of a “rising star” and one that has Billboard placing her single “BRB” ft. Showjoe on their “Hip-Hop Fresh Pick of the Week.”

With collaborators like Che, Showjoe, and Hardrock in the mix, Santana explores identity, girlhood, and emotional whiplash under a hazy, candy-colored filter. “She’s taking risks, flipping familiar tropes, and rewriting what it means to come of age in the streaming era,” writes HotNewHipHop. The sound is warped, ethereal, sometimes ragey, always intentional, just like the artist herself.

Born to a Black father and Japanese mother, Santana split her time between California and Japan, attending fashion school before giving herself fully to music. That transcontinental upbringing informs her aesthetic as much as her sound: punk attitude, kawaii edge, trap grit, all served up with hyper-feminine maximalism. It’s no wonder she’s built cult-like followings on TikTok and SoundCloud, racked up millions of streams, and caught the attention of Pigeons & Planes, who named her an Artist to Watch in 2025.

Live, Santana is electric. After opening for Don Toliver and Ski Mask the Slump God—and turning heads at Rolling Loud Miami—this headlining tour marks a defining moment. She teased the rollout with eerie trailers across socials, painting the tour as an immersive extension of her sonic universe. Expect fog machines, chaotic visuals, and a soundtrack that swerves from “Chain Swangin” to introspective heartbreakers with no brakes in sight.

If this is Molly’s world, consider this your invitation in.
