Molly Millington hits the open road on new single “Just Drive”

Date:

Australian singer-songwriter Molly Millington is shifting gears in her latest release “Just Drive,” out today via Nettwerk. The single comes as the first look at her newly announced debut album Frank Morgan, set for release in Feb. 2026.

In collaboration with longtime producer Xavier Dunn (Jack River, Peking Duk) and mixed by Simon Cohen (Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan, Genesis Owusu), “Just Drive” is the ultimate track for just that – driving. Windows down, music blasting, chasing freedom. The feeling is built through her warm country-pop textures, euphoric chorus, and fun, upbeat melodies. Her vocals tie it all together, creating a song that bottles nostalgia while moving toward an exciting future.

Speaking on the single, Molly reflects:

“It’s about reminiscing on growing up and the lack of responsibilities, and wanting to drive away and start afresh. I’ve asked a few older people in my life about this feeling, and they’ve all had a similar answer: once it comes it never fully goes away.”

Frank Morgan, her debut record, takes its name from the actor best known as the Wizard of Oz. Molly had the idea after realising he secretly played several roles throughout the film. For her, it became a metaphor for identity, perception, and the many different roles we take on in life. Across twelve songs, Frank Morgan promises playful storytelling, self-reflection, and her signature pop-country sound. She draws influence from artists like Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves, and Julia Michaels, while always keeping her own voice at the centre.
