Miley Cyrus debuts “More to Lose,” a vulnerable ballad that mourns the loss of a relationship ahead of her upcoming album, Something Beautiful

The newest single from Cyrus was performed for the first time during an exclusive pre-Met Gala event hosted by Moncler in New York City. The delicate vocals and instrumentation capture the realization of a love that has slipped away — the person you once knew is gone. The lyrics resonate with listeners who have fought to hold on to something when letting go is inevitable: “When the ecstasy is far away / And I pray / That it’s comin’ ’round again, but it don’t, baby / And you say it / But I wish it wasn’t true, no / I knew someday that one would have to choose / Oh, I knew someday you’d do what I couldn’t do / I just thought we had more to lose.”
