Micah Emrich releases impressive genre-bending single, “GAMES”

Date:

Milwaukee-based up-and-comer Micah Emrich has independently released a new single titled “GAMES.” The track is a part of his forthcoming album, HARD TO LOVE, scheduled for release this fall. It’s been a very exciting year for Emrich, with “GAMES” being his third single of 2025. He also recently ranked in the top 5% of Timbaland’s Global Orbit competition, with Timbaland himself drawing comparisons to Justin Timberlake.

Produced by Keylime, Lucas Labeau and Julian Singh, “GAMES” blends the best of R&B, jazz, funk, and a nostalgic hint of early 2000s pop. Undeniably danceable, “GAMES” boasts playful instrumentation and smooth, Bieber-esque vocals. It’s a seriously fun groove about turning the tables when someone plays with your heart. “You and me / We really could have had it all, baby / How did we get so lost in everything? / You like those games? well baby, two can play.”

The musical performance is so impressive on this track. You’ll hear hints of Michael Jackson, Backstreet Boys, and so many more if you listen carefully. Emrich is a self-proclaimed Belieber, and that influence shines through on this single in the best way. He’s rapidly establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the R&B scene.

“GAMES,” is available to stream wherever you listen to music.
