British singer-songwriter Cat Burns has been up to something, we’re just not yet exactly sure what. The indie-pop hero initially rose to fame when her 2020 single, “go,” went viral on TikTok in 2022. Burns released her first LP, early twenties, in 2024. The album featured “go,” which is now closing in on 200 million spins on Spotify.
Burns’ latest single, “GIRLS!” was BBC Radio1’s hottest record of the week upon its release in January. She has spent over six months teasing several unreleased songs, and we’re wondering what could be next.
Since December 2024, the soulful songstress has posted snippets of eight songs with unofficial titles:
- “i love you, but”
- “i wish you well”
- untitled song posted on January 14th
- “Gemini Season”
- “how to be human”
- “something about her” Burns even performed this tune live on May 25th at C6 Fest in São Paulo, Brazil
- “you’re not gonna be sad forever”
- “all this love”
None of the songs are yet available for streaming, and Burns has not indicated whether they are a part of a larger project or when they may release. With eight teasers already out, fans are hoping for an album announcement coming soon.
