Martin Garrix is back with yet another hit single, this time with pop sensation Lauv lending vocals to the track. The track features a fusion of typical pop elements and nostalgic EDM textures, from the clean guitar licks beneath Lauv’s vocals in the chorus to Garrix’s signature synth hooks. The production takes a back seat during the verses and chorus before coming centre stage during the break, allowing both musicians to showcase their artistry. The lyrics delve into a passionate yet turbulent love story, which feels both deeply personal and timelessly universal.
Lauv has had his hand in many projects and collaborations with global artists in the K-pop and C-pop scenes, as well as writing and performing a single for the Oscar-nominated Pixar film, Elemental.
This release follows a string of singles from Garrix, including “Weightless” released in April, and “Angles For Each Other” released in March, both featuring Bollywood legend Arijit Singh.
Martin Garrix has been taking the EDM world by storm for years, and 2024 marked a particularly incredible year for the DJ, with Garrix earning the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Dance Chart for his single “Told You So” and making history by being named the No. 1 DJ on the DJ Mag’s Top 100 for the fifth time.
