SUPER-Hi releases “Somebody” featuring Gabrielle Aplin

Date:

British producer duo SUPER-Hi has released their new single, “Somebody,” a breezy dance anthem filled with bright synths that is perfect for the summertime.

“Somebody” features singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin, who delivers an ethereal vocal performance that specifically shines in the chorus with a dreamy, breathy falsetto. Lyrically, the song is about embracing the fleeting nature of a summer fling. In the verses, Aplin sings, “I don’t need forever / Give me a summer of love / Perfect or foolish, maybe it’s all of the above.”

Composed of George Tizzard and Rick Parkerhouse, SUPER-Hi launched their independent artist project at the end of 2020, after collecting an impressive producing and writing catalog with artists like Camila Cabello, David Guetta, Halsey, YUNGBLUD, and more. Their 2021 debut single, “Following the Sun,” became a worldwide hit, amassing over 300 million streams on Spotify.
