British singer-songwriter Lola Young will perform as part of Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase, presented by JBL, at SXSW in Austin, Texas, on March 12. This event marks her first confirmed live appearance since taking a hiatus last year.
The performance comes months after the 24-year-old artist cancelled all upcoming shows “for the foreseeable future” following a medical emergency during her set at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City on September 27, 2025.
At the end of 2025, Young reassured fans that she was recovering and looking ahead to the new year. In a message shared to social media, she expressed gratitude for the support she received while taking time away from performing.
“I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place,” she wrote. “I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.”

Young went on to share her hopes of returning to the stage gradually, adding, “I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams… Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.”
Prior to the medical emergency, Young had spoken candidly to the festival crowd about navigating a difficult period in her life. “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue,” she said. “But today I woke up and I made the decision to come here… sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”
In addition to the announcement of Young returning to the stage, Fuerza Regida and BigXThaPlug were also announced as headliners for the 3 days Showcase event, happening March 12–14 at ACL Live at the Moody Theater.

General ticket on-sale begins Friday, January 9 via AXS. Fans can purchase passes for the full three-day series, or opt for single-day tickets. Capacity is limited and entry for SXSW Platinum and Music Badge holders, as well as SXSW Music Festival Wristband holders, will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
