Six years after the release of their cult classic album, I Let It In and It Took Everything, Loathe has announced their third studio album, A Stranger to You, set to arrive July 17 via SharpTone Records.
In tandem with the announcement, the band dropped a new single, “Revenant,” featuring NOWHERE2RUN — the new project from Code Orange’s Jami Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose — marking a shift toward some of the band’s heaviest and most abrasive work to date.
Engineered and produced by the band’s own Erik Bickerstaffe, the 14-track album expands upon Loathe’s already impactful discography. Alongside the new single, the record features last year’s “Gifted Every Strength,” as well as guest appearances from Jordan Rakei, Static Dress, Mansur Brown, and bucki sugar.
To support the release, the band will return to North America in September for a 19-city headlining tour. Boston favorites Fleshwater and noise-rock outfit Prostitute will join as support. The run kicks off September 19 in Royal Oak, MI, hitting major markets like Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Los Angeles before wrapping in San Francisco on October 13. Tickets are on sale now here.
