Knox kicks off the new year with explosive new single “Go For Broke”

Date:

“why does this scratch the brain SO GOOD,” Knox asks his near quarter of a million TikTok followers.

Setting off the fanbase, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter continued to tease snippets of his new single, revealing its name as “Go For Broke.” Undeniably catchy with an infectious melodic hook, the song was swirling around in people’s heads long before it was released.

Knox explores the differences in what seems to be a new relationship in “Go For Broke” with a bright and catchy backdrop. The first line is an exposed vocal track with a build of instruments as the song progresses, catching steam and showing cracks in the songwriter’s armor.

Through a buildup of snare drums and rhythm guitars, he positions himself as a “hard sell,” wondering how he can be with someone who seemingly defies gravity. The wordy bridge spills into a stripped-back line, the crux of the song being in its first and last lines. “Go For Broke” moves quickly, and as many Knox songs go, it sounds best when chanted back.

“Go For Broke” follows the release of his 2025 album Going, Going, Gone alongside the deluxe version of the same project. You can listen to both below.
