The wait is finally over! After two years, Joshua Bassett’s second studio album, Easier, will be available Aug. 14. Bassett posted the news to Instagram, sharing the album’s full track list and announcing that the second track, “Dancing On The Edge,” would be released on Friday, Aug. 7.
The year 2026 has shaped up to be a busy year for Bassett. With the release of his album, he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this year, he made his off-Broadway debut in “Little Shop of Horrors” and earned a spot on the New York Times Bestsellers list with his memoir, “Rookie.”
In July, Bassett began rolling out singles weekly, kicking things off with “Clouds.” The rollout strategy may sound familiar to longtime fans. In October 2022, Bassett launched “Joshtober,” which followed the same format intended to preview his scrapped debut album, Complicated. If recent singles are any indication, the new record promises to be filled with introspection and yearning — feelings Bassett knows all too well.
Easier will be available everywhere Aug. 14, and “Dancing On The Edge” is available now.
