GRANT KNOCHE longs for deeper connection in “STRIPPED”

Date:

GRANT KNOCHE has released “STRIPPED,” a new single off his upcoming album, GOOD LUCK GETTING OVER ME, scheduled for an Oct. 17 release. As the track’s title suggests, the singer-songwriter showcases vulnerability as he longs to be seen for more than his looks.

Produced by Knoche himself, “STRIPPED” is the perfect song to blast on a night drive, with a sleek pop production layered with pulsating synths throughout the record. Unafraid to pull back the curtain of the pop star persona, he opens up about his struggle to find a deeper connection that goes beyond appearances alone, singing “I′m more than a silhouette / I’m more than a face and a fake on the internet / Got bills and a lot of debt / Draw a smile cross the tape of my mouth so you′re into it.”

The track feels like a statement directed not only to his romantic partners but also to some of his social media followers. In the pre-chorus, he seemingly lists out online comments about his body, singing, “‘I wish I was the one taking that photo / Oh my god if I had you at night / I would die’.”

Known for producing and co-writing all his music since finishing fourth on NBC’s American Song Contest, the multitalented artist has also worked with Christina Aguilera, ADÉLA, Victoria Justice, and more. Knoche is hitting the road this month on his first headlining tour. Tickets can be purchased here
