Montreal-based artist Dayside teams up with electronic artist Guffchild on the latest alternative-indie single, “Lonely.” The track is only the beginning of the next chapter for the collaborating artists, setting the tone for their upcoming joint projects.
Atop a chill blend of alt-R&B and indie-pop, “Lonely” explores fighting the inner demons of self-doubt and the merciless voices in your head that tell you you’re not enough. This collaborative track transforms ideas of isolation and loneliness into a danceable beat, encouraging the listener to fight through the daily negativity.
Dayside shares,
“I wrote ‘Lonely’ during a period when self-doubt felt louder than anything else. It’s about that inner voice that questions every decision, every move you make, until you find yourself isolated. This song is me confronting that spiral.”

This is the last single from the upcoming Dayside x Guffchild EP, Guffside Vol. 1, a project sure to continue on the path of genre fluidity and emotional authenticity that “Lonely” opens the door to.
The introspective track features standout vocals from hip-hop artist Mosez Jones, who also appeared on the trio’s groovy February single “Daddy’s Girl.”
