All Time Low and JoJo’s new collaboration “Sugar” is pop-punk perfection

All Time Low has shared “Sugar,” featuring JoJo, off their newly released album, Everyone’s Talking!, via the band’s own Basement Noise Records, a partnership with Photo Finish Records and Virgin Music Group. The pop-punk track is an addictive earworm that perfectly showcases the vocal strength of both artists.

While the atmospheric verses bring out the pop element with bright synths and guitars, the explosive chorus delivers the punchy rock sound All Time Low is known for. Lead vocalist Alex Gaskarth and JoJo’s delivery fits both genres like a glove, on top of beautifully complementing each other, making the track an instant standout on the new LP.

Lyrically, “Sugar” is a romantic, flirty song in which two lovers can’t get enough of each other. Over an addictive descending melody, in the chorus they sing, “Sugar, I like the way you’re feelin’ underneath / And everything we need is in the sheets / You make me wanna make you wanna need me / We’re going ’til there’s nothing left to eat.”
