Chiodos and DRAIN to join the When We Were Young 2025 lineup

Date:

Annual music festival When We Were Young has announced a couple of changes for the 2025 lineup: new additions of post-hardcore band Chiodos and punk act DRAIN will now join the epic lineup of artists spanning the pop-punk, emo, and hardcore genres.

The bands will replace previously announced sets from Sleeping With Sirens and Never Shout Never, who will no longer perform “due to reasons beyond our control,” according to the festival.

Sleeping With Sirens has also recently canceled their headlining tour due to a health emergency for frontman Kellin Quinn’s family, announced on the band’s social media

The two-day festival will showcase highly anticipated performances from reuniting Panic! At The Disco and a full performance of their debut 2005 album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, and blink-182‘s celebration of their early works Enema of the State (1999), Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001), and self-titled album (2003), alongside headlining performances by Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Offspring, All Time Low, and more.

Post-hardcore band Chiodos were long rumored to be new additions to the lineup, confirming on social media just this week:

“Surprise! The rumors were true. Before we head back out to celebrate 20 years of All’s Well That Ends Well in just a few short weeks… We’ll be back at When We Were Young next weekend. Viva Las Vegas, baby”

The Michigan band is in the midst of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the group’s 2005 debut album All’s Well That Ends Well, and will embark on the second leg of their headlining U.S. tour this fall, beginning in November.

Santa Cruz hardcore punk band DRAIN is celebrating their upcoming full-length project …IS YOUR FRIEND, set to debut on November 7 via Epitaph Records, featuring lead single “Nights Like These.”

The band shared the WWWY announcement on social media:

“So stoked we were able to hop on this fest next week!!!! See you soon Vegas!!“
