Daya Knows What Is Best For Her In New Song “Don’t Call”

Date:

Topping the charts at just 16 years old with her hit song “Hide Away”, Daya has always shown the world her authentic self. Since becoming an independent artist in 2022, she has gained more control over what she wants to share with her fans, allowing her to connect with them on a deeper level through her music. Her latest single, “Don’t Call”, encourages herself and others to do what’s best for them, even when it’s difficult.

“Don’t Call” is Daya’s reminder to focus on herself. Through echoey vocals and energetic percussion, Daya warns her ex-lover of the consequences of chasing after each other although they have separated. Lyrics such as “Keep learning, you know I try to let go / It’s hard to deny it doesn’t feel right anymore / Doesn’t feel right anymore” show Daya’s hesitance towards pursuing this relationship further since they broke up.
