COIN announce sixth studio album ‘I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore’ out Sept. 13

Date:

COIN have announced their upcoming album, I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore, set for release on Sept. 13 via 10k Projects.

COIN, which currently consists of Chase Lawrence (lead vocals, synthesizers), Ryan Winnen (drums) and Joe Memmel (lead guitar, backing vocals), formed in 2012. The band has released five studio albums, including Dreamland (2020), and most recently, Uncanny Valley (2022).

Now, COIN is back with I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore, a bright and bittersweet but electric and intimate record, which they recorded live in RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee.

Preorder I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore now.

COIN’s announcement also coincided with the release of their latest single “Strawberry Jam,” which was produced by Gabe Simon, known for his work with Dua Lipa and Noah Kahan.

Lawrence said the album is their most in-depth, “simplest, rawest, most authentic form.”

“I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore is about us seeing each other for who we really are and expressing ourselves as individuals— truly for the first time in this band’s history,” Chase Lawrence said. “It’s about us, like conquering fear.”
