Joe Jonas to release highly anticipated new solo album ‘Music for People Who Believe in Love’ on Oct. 18

Date:

Joe Jonas, one-third of the Jonas Brothers, has announced his sophomore album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, now arriving Oct. 18 through Republic Records. This marks his first solo album since his debut more than a decade ago, Fastlife (2011), which was released through Hollywood Records.

Following the release of Fastlife, which came shortly after the Jonas Brothers initially parted ways, Jonas formed the band DNCE, best known for their hit “Cake by the Ocean.” DNCE disbanded in 2019 when the Jonas Brothers reunited, releasing Happiness Begins (2019) and The Album (2023). They disbanded again last year.

Jonas’ announcement comes on the heels of his new solo single, “Work It Out,” which he revealed last Wednesday, July 10. The latest single, which Jonas has been teasing over the past month during podcast appearances and live performances, is set to be released this Friday, July 19.

In a statement, Jonas wrote about the album:

“I am thrilled to share my new solo album with you – ‘Music For People Who Believe In Love.’ This album is a celebration of gratitude, hope, and love. These songs reflect on my life from a bird’s-eye view acknowledging the many blessings around me. This album is a reflection and celebration of life. I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me creating it. Please enjoy!”

Following his high-profile divorce from “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner, Jonas’ album Music for People Who Believe in Love explores themes of love and loss, drawing from his experiences as a father.
