Carrie Underwood is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her record-breaking debut album, Some Hearts. Originally released in 2005, the album catapulted the American Idol champion to superstardom, becoming the best-selling debut country album of all time and delivering timeless anthems like “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” “Before He Cheats,” and “Wasted.”
To mark the occasion, Underwood has announced the Some Hearts 20th Anniversary Edition, a special double-vinyl release arriving November 14, 2025, via Legacy Recordings. Available for pre-order now exclusively through Target, this collector’s edition features an all-new alternate cover, exclusive photo booklet, and, for the first time ever on vinyl, four live tracks from her 2005 session at Nashville’s legendary Blackbird Studios.
This milestone release comes during a banner year for Underwood, who also celebrated the 20th anniversary of her American Idol win by joining the show’s panel of judges for its latest season finale. With more than 85 million records sold, eight GRAMMY® Awards, and countless accolades to her name, Carrie Underwood’s star power shows no signs of slowing down as she honors the album that started it all.
