Broadside wish they could be “Someone You Need” on vulnerable new single

Date:

Broadside continues their most exciting era yet with the release of their vulnerable new single “Someone You Need.” This is the pop-rock icons’ third release since signing with Thriller Records, following “I Think They Know” and “Warning Signs.”

“Someone You Need” is a raw account of wishing you could be more secure for someone you care about. Broadside explores the crushing reality of knowing you can’t be the person your partner needs and letting your own issues get in the way of the relationship. The track is a stunning representation of this heartfelt ache with soaring guitars and brutal honesty. Vocalist Oliver Baxxter offers an emotionally compelling delivery as the chorus opens and he laments, “I wish I could give you all of me / But I’m just pieces of a man I used to be.” He shares,

“This song is for anyone who feels like they’re made of broken parts, aching to be wanted. It’s messy, it’s desperate, but it’s real.”

Broadside do what they do best on “Someone You Need,” channeling the raw emotions of the human experience with their signature pop-rock flair. The song is a stellar addition to this blossoming new era of the band that displays the tender vulnerability and insecurity that comes with falling in love.
