Bre Kennedy’s metamorphosis led to “Clarity”

Date:

Bre Kennedy recently released the title track from her upcoming Clarity EP, out December 16th. “Clarity” (preceded by singles “Ribbon” and “Before I Have A Daughter”) showcases the indie-pop artist’s coming-of-age journey. Kennedy captures the vibrant blue skies that follow heavy storms, though she’s not afraid to dance in the downpour. Over a crystal-clear instrumental, she sings, “I can let the bad years be good for me / I can let the muddy water wash me clean / Let my broken heart be a jumpstart.”

Kennedy has gone through quite the transformation and is entering this new era with a clear and hopeful perspective. She reflects, “It was like getting rid of old clothes, stories, and expectations. I’ve become a different version of myself. After the past two years, I feel super revitalized. This spring cleaning led to a metamorphosis. I’m starting to get clarity…I’ve changed a lot, though. I’m getting to know the person I am now.”
