BENTLE wants to live without limits on “Beam”

Date:

No matter the experience, BENTLE is there to replicate the moment. The singer-songwriter-producer can perfectly capture an emotion or expand a sensation, delivering immersive singles like “Darkest Blue” and “Sideshow.” Both tracks focused on the feeling of floating or drifting, BENTLE expertly combining instrumental elements and musical effects to help us feel what he feels. On his new single, “Beam,” he transports us yet again, to a place where he can live without limits.

A feel-good anthem that speaks to bigger and better places in life, “Beam” is bound to become your new song of summer. The track sounds infinite, its stretched-out choruses, happy-sounding chords, and echoed effects instilling a sense of freedom or endless exploration. Through hazy vocals, BENTLE drops lines like, “Patiently, I’m waiting / Endlessly, I’m fading” and “Release me / Let me go,” eager to get where he belongs. You can check it out below.

Giving us more details about “Beam,” BENTLE shares,

“‘Beam’ is my personal animation of what being caught in an endless thought loop looks like on a summer morning. I wrote it beachside with some friends while traveling through the Caribbean last year – I was processing so many new experiences and feelings at that time, and ‘Beam’ takes me straight back to that night. As I woke the next morning, I couldn’t stop humming the ‘Honestly, I can’t be free’ lyric and melody – I can remember it ringing in my head from the early hours of the morning, and it was just so contagious I had to get it down on paper. I love this song because I can still smell the fire and see the hazy horizon from that night.”

You can listen to “Beam” on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud.
