Baby Said yawns in the face of predictable dating culture with new single “Sweet Talk”

Date:

The power pop-rock ballad “Sweet Talk” by Baby Said wastes no time flaunting its riveting vocals, powerful wailing guitars, and simple yet playful lyrics. This Olivia Rodrigoesque anthem sounds as though it belongs on a playlist alongside artists like Chappell Roan, Måneskin, and MUNA.

Their upcoming debut album, BS, will be released on March 25. This new single warms their listeners up for what’s next. The UK-based Italian/Punjabi teenage sister duo, Veronica and Jess Pal, are known for being attitude-driven and unapologetically forceful throughout their growing discography with lyrics like, “What’s on your mind? / Speak up / Boy take your time / I’m staying here letting you play out before you get shut down for taking too long / I’m tired of asking the questions with no real intentions / Let’s move it along.”

Baby Said has also received radio support from Radio 1’s Alyx Holcombe Show, BBC Introducing, Radio X, and more. Additionally, they were named “Ones to Watch” by ROTD and selected as Artists of the Week by A&R Worldwide.

“Sweet Talk” is a journey so many of us have been on – tired of all the false promises and boring conversations in the predictable world of dating culture. The sisters show no remorse as they tear apart the silly counterparts who think they have the slightest idea of who they’re dealing with. They shove a big “yawn” in their faces as they attempt to impress: “Say the nicest things / My thumbs are twiddling / Laying here waiting on you / This is out sweet talk / I’m just another one / Give it a week and you’ll be gone / We’re just trying to have some fun / Sweet talk / You pretty little liar.”
