Two-time Grammy-nominated indie artist Arlo Parks has announced her newest album Ambiguous Desire, releasing April 3. The album announcement comes alongside her latest single “2SIDED.”

The video for the single features Parks in a dimly lit, muted color, intimate club with people dancing all around her.

The new album will come 3 years after her last album, My Soft Machine, a deeply personal and emotional piece of work. Ambiguous Desire is expected to show a bouncier, more fun side of the artist.

Parks spoke about the influence that New York nightlife had on her and the album. “This record has desire at its center,” Parks said in a statement.

“Desire is a life force, it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum — we are all alive because there is something or someone we want — desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN.”

In a newsletter sent to fans, Parks announced a small list of intimate record release shows around her home country, the UK.
