Thuy Kicks Off Tour In Toronto!

Date:

On Thursday, up and coming R&B artist, Thuy (pronounced “Twee”), started off her “i hope u see this tour” at The Velvet Underground in Toronto! This was not only special for being her first tour stop but her first international stop.

Thuy is a Vietnamese-American singer-songwriter from the Bay Area who began to gain traction on Tik Tok with her song “Chances”.

Thuy walked onto the stage full energy as she started off the set with “Chances”, the crowd singing every word. During the set Thuy talked about her change in career, as she originally  studied to become a doctor in order to fulfill her parents wishes but realized later on she truly wanted to make music and committed everything to that. She shared some intimate moments with fans during “universe” which was a beautiful sight as the crowd waved their cellphone flashlights in the air. Thuy spoke a bit before the song sharing a cute little story about how the song came to be, turns out that this love song was originally written about her dog, Ollie. She put on quite a show, giving amazing vocals and bringing positive energy throughout.

Thuy is definitely an artist who is doing incredible things, not only bringing representation to her Vietnamese culture but paving her way in the music industry.
