Monolink’s show at History in Toronto on February 12 was a masterclass in electronic performance, delivering a night full of dancing and vibes.
Returning to Toronto after a challenging last visit, the artist reflected on the experience:
“I basically played an hour before everyone arrived to the concert. It was a tough challenge for me… But the beautiful thing was to see how many people actually wanna come see me in Toronto, thank you for coming back.”
That sentiment set the tone for the evening: a mix of vulnerability, connection, and celebration that carried throughout the night.
His performance began with a piano-led opening in front of a curtain, Monolink’s ethereal vocals holding the crowd in anticipation. When the curtain finally dropped, it revealed a breathtaking stage filled with giant moon rocks that slowly turned and glistened under the lights. The visuals were as entrancing as the music itself, creating a space that felt immersive yet inviting.
The atmosphere was the perfect balance of chill and danceable. Fans swayed, moved, and lost themselves in Monolink’s melodic techno, transitioning effortlessly from song to song. Returning to Toronto, Monolink reminded the crowd exactly why they had been waiting for him, closing the night with a sense of shared energy that definitely lingered long after the final beat.
