“Do Not Disturb ‘Til 06-06-25 Carter VI.” That’s the message on a studio door in Lil Wayne’s new advertisement for the skincare brand Cetaphil.
The New Orleans rapper is making waves this week with the announcement of Tha Carter VI, set to arrive on June 6, 2025. He also confirmed he won’t be attending Super Bowl LVIII in his hometown on Sunday, Feb. 9, following controversy over being overlooked for the halftime show — a spot that went to this year’s headliner, Kendrick Lamar, who recently took home all the awards in his categories for his hit single “Not Like Us” at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Starring Wayne himself, the advertisement is full of with Easter eggs, including jerseys and scoreboards hinting at the album’s release date. In the video, he comes to the rescue during some bizarre situations.
Tha Carter VI will be the first installment in the series since Tha Carter V in 2018. Following the ad’s launch, Universal Music Group officially confirmed the album’s June 6 release.
This announcement follows Lil Wayne’s reveal of a limited five-city tour for 2025, kicking off later this month. Joining him are Quavo and Anella Herim. Running from Feb. 27 to March 15, the tour will make stops in:
Indianapolis, IN – Feb. 27
