Mokita thanks his support system in new song “Fortunately”

Date:

Mokita, the project of John-Luke Carter, is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. He prides himself on his introspective and emotionally charged songs. His latest release, “Fortunately,” which came out last Friday, focuses on finding outlets of support.

“Fortunately” is about having someone always by your side. Through steady piano and smooth strings, Mokita reflects on the people in his life who have been there through thick and thin. His lyrics show appreciation for these people for always being there no matter what. Elaborating more on the inspiration for the song, he says,

“The song itself is about having someone in your life that you can depend on—someone who has been with you through the good and the bad and who you know won’t ever leave you when things get tough.”
