The Cure share details of new album ‘Songs of a Live World’

A month after releasing Songs of a Lost World, their first studio album in 16 years, rock band The Cure have announcedĀ Songs of a Live World, a companion album, scheduled for release on Dec. 13, through Fiction/Polydor. All royalties from the album will be donated to War Child, a charity dedicated to supporting children affected by war and conflict.

Songs of a Live World features eight tracks recorded during The Cure’s intimate concert at Troxy London last month, held to celebrate the release of Songs of a Lost World. The setlist included live renditions of songs such as ā€œAlone,ā€ ā€œAnd Nothing Is Forever,ā€ ā€œI Can Never Say Goodbyeā€ and more.

The album will be available in multiple formats, including standalone CD, LP and cassette. A special double set pairing the studio album with Songs of a Live World will also be released, featuring alternate artwork. Vinyl editions for both albums are slated to ship in February 2025.
