The Cure share details of new album ‘Songs of a Live World’

Date:

A month after releasing Songs of a Lost World, their first studio album in 16 years, rock band The Cure have announced Songs of a Live World, a companion album, scheduled for release on Dec. 13, through Fiction/Polydor. All royalties from the album will be donated to War Child, a charity dedicated to supporting children affected by war and conflict.

Songs of a Live World features eight tracks recorded during The Cure’s intimate concert at Troxy London last month, held to celebrate the release of Songs of a Lost World. The setlist included live renditions of songs such as “Alone,” “And Nothing Is Forever,” “I Can Never Say Goodbye” and more.

The album will be available in multiple formats, including standalone CD, LP and cassette. A special double set pairing the studio album with Songs of a Live World will also be released, featuring alternate artwork. Vinyl editions for both albums are slated to ship in February 2025.
