Wyn Starks attempts to find the light at the end of the tunnel on “Happy Again”

Date:

With his emotionally-driven songs like “Where Are The Giants” and “Run,” pop-soul artist Wyn Starks brings fans to tears, gives them shivers, and makes them feel understood. He captivated the world in 2022 when he auditioned for America’s Got Talent with his original song “Who I Am,” which brought judge Sofia Vergara to tears and received two standing ovations. The song was also recently featured in Celine Dion’s Amazon Prime documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, with the five-time GRAMMY artist singing it and connecting with its messages of hope and perseverance. Since then, the song has landed in the top 30 of Shazam’s Top 200 Global Chart, hit #1 on the iTunes R&B chart, and reached #14 on the Billboard charts. The newfound popularity of “Who I Am” shows that Wyn’s music is timeless and able to resonate with listeners on a large scale. The same can be said of his new single, “Happy Again.”

A stirring piano ballad, “Happy Again” attempts to find the light at the end of a dark, lonely tunnel. Amidst the busy yet quaint piano riffs and triumphant strings, Wyn’s soulful vocals lend themselves to questions of uncertainty. He sings, “Is there a way to be happy again? / Is there a secret that nobody’s saying? / I see everyone on their knees, praying / Is there a way to be happy again?” speaking for those who find themselves in a tough spot. Still, there is a sense of resilience that comes through, giving listeners a chance to believe that there is, in fact, a way to be happy again.

About the single, Wyn shares,

“Whether it’s due to loss, relationship struggles, or career issues, we’re all finding ourselves asking, ‘When will we be happy again?’”

“Happy Again” comes off Wyn’s upcoming sophomore album, due for release in early 2025.

You can listen to “Happy Again” on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
