International band The Two Romans, hailing from Italy, Germany and Switzerland released their debut album Everything. Now! In April 2020. Inspired by friends of the band who had a miscarriage, their most recent single “I Swear” is an ode to those who went through a tragedy and faced it head on.
“’I Swear’ was inspired by friends of ours who have lost their baby after only three weeks,” The Two Romans said. “Surviving a tragedy like that while remaining a couple must be one of the hardest things. We can’t begin to imagine the pain. This song is for everyone who has gone through hell together with someone as a team.”
This electro-pop song embodies their recognizable style and catching melodies mixed with modern guitar sounds. Featuring synthesizers and The Two Romans’ distinct vocal ability, the song is not meant to be a sad destination track. Through more than 150 live shows and festivals since their formation in 2015, the band is going beyond the typical indie-pop barriers, shaping a collection of universal memories. But “I Swear” is one for the pain, heartache and hope in this energetic track that includes a melancholic lyrics premise as they continue searching for spontaneous encounters, impressions and exchanges.
