7evin7ins makes a statement on “Gun Shy”

Date:

7evin7ins is making a statement. On “Gun Shy”, a track off of his brand new EP, My Everlasting Isolation, he crafts a unique sound – a blend of alt-rock, pop-punk, and hip-hop. He’s inspired by a variety of acts, from Paramore to Post Malone to Juice Wrld. “Gun Shy” starts with a sharp acoustic riff, and gradually builds throughout the verse. Filled with angst, he sings, “Everything I touch / Everything that was gold turns into rust / I wish it wasn’t true.” The chorus is explosive, and he’s practically shouting, “I wish it wasn’t you!” 7evin7ins has incredible control throughout the song, knowing exactly when to rein in and when to let loose.
