The Aces Play the Iconic KOKO

Date:

The Aces are currently on tour with their third album, I’ve Loved You For So Long. The title song was thought of by their drummer Alisa Ramirez as a letter to the fans and a thank you for the undeniable support over the 7 years. They hold a strong relationship with many teenage LTBTQ+ fans from the personal connection of their own coming out stories after being raised in Mormon households, with bass player McKenna Petty being an ally to the community.

This bond between artist and fan made for an electric sold out gig at the iconic KOKO in Camden Town where fans adoringly sang back to the band throughout every song, from some of their biggest hits such as “Daydream” to their newest hits from the new album released in June of this year including “Always Get This Way,” “ Girls Make Me Wanna Die,” and of course “I’ve Loved You For So Long.” The electric atmosphere that was held in the room was one to remember for both the audience and the band alike, who played to their biggest crowd yet at 1,500 adoring fans.

Be sure to catch them in these smaller venues while you can as they soon will be playing to thousands, building their way to the top in the indie music world.
