Legendary pop punk band The Story So Far (Parker Cannon, Kevin Geyer, Will Levy, and Ryan Torf) is back with their first new single in 5 years, “Big Blind”, released yesterday via Pure Noise Records. This moment has long been awaited by fans, who last heard new material from The Story So Far with their critically-acclaimed album, Proper Dose, released in 2018.

“Big Blind” builds on the sound The Story So Far graced us with on Proper Dose, which saw them at their lightest and brightest yet. Leading in right away with fast-paced guitars and a quick drum beat to match, this track doesn’t have a single second of downtime. The dynamic and emotional song isn’t as dark as some of their early work, but it still packs a heavy punch. Alluding to playing a metaphorical game of poker with someone throughout the song, lead vocalist Parker Cannon asks “are we on the same side?”. “Big Blind” is on the poppier side of the band’s catalogue but still stays true to their roots. You can listen here.

Fans are hoping the release of this new track means we’ll hear a lot more from The Story So Far fairly soon. Until then, you can catch them on tour in Europe supporting Blink-182 along with some headlining shows sprinkled in here and there. You can find tickets for all their tour dates here.
