Haiden gets personal on “you don’t even like me”

Date:

you don’t even like me” is Haiden‘s most personal song yet. The LA artist released his 1st EP, Good Grief!, last year, and is set to release his sophomore EP later this year. “you don’t even like me” is the 2nd single released to promote the upcoming EP, preceded by “Pretty Little Addict”.

In an Instagram post celebrating the 2nd single’s release, Haiden shares that the song has “robbed me of my front and called me on my shit” – which may just be his worst fear. Throughout the song, Haiden admits that he’s the funny friend that keeps everyone at arm’s length, rehearsing lines, desperate to impress. He’s terrified to let someone in, convinced that they could never love him once they truly got to know him.

It’s compelling when a pop artist get vulnerable, and “you don’t even like me” proves that painfully honest songwriting prevails.
