Weekly Roundup: October 17

Every week the Melodic staff assembles a Weekly Roundup playlist of songs we can’t stop listening to.
Here are some of the highlights:

1. “I’m In Love With You” – The 1975
“…the merry ‘I’m In Love With You,’ finds the usually chatty frontman Matty Healy becoming tongue-tied with the girl he loves.  While he may not be able to utter the words, ‘I’m in love with you,’ to this person, the bright sounds of the music relay what he feels.
– Christine Sloman

2. “Nobody Wants to Die” – Rival Sons
“The California hard rock band released the first single off their upcoming album DARKFIGHTER, alongside a western-meets Kill Bill music video to go with the rowdy track.”
– María Mata

3.  “I’m Spent” – Housewife
“The Toronto-based indie-rock group, Housewife, recently released their 3rd EP, You’ll Be Forgiven. Brighid Fry and Pascale Padilla are exemplary songwriters, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this group!”
-Lexi Whitney

4. “hill that i’ll die on” – Jonah Kagen
“‘hill that i’ll die on’ is a charming love ballad about always supporting the ones you love. The track begins with a soft-sounding guitar riff and Kagen’s smooth vocals. Transitioning into the powerful chorus, Kagen sings, ‘Even at your worst/You’re the hill that I’ll die on/So just leave a light on/For me.'”
– Sara De Ledesma
