Wolf Alice kick off their North American tour in New York City

Date:

Last week, British band Wolf Alice played an incredible show at NYC’s Terminal 5. Hailing off of the success of their most recent album, Blue Weekend, the indie rockers gave a truly unforgettable performance.

Luna Li opened up the night, showcasing her dreamy, singer-songwriter style. She rose to prominence on TikTok during the COVID-19 lockdown with her original songs and got the crowd in the right mood for the headliner.

Wolf Alice entered the stage to a roar of excited fans and brightly flashing lights. The band has been together for over 10 years (after forming in London in 2012) and their chemistry proves it. The band is made up of musicians who have honed their craft and truly love performing. A Wolf Alice show is a show where you will find yourself in the middle of a mosh pit during one song then hugging your best friend during the next – but yet the songs flow very well and nothing feels abrupt or unexpected. Singer Ellie Rowsell played each song with ease and bassist Theo Ellis served as a hype man, making sure the crowd knew that getting rowdy was expected of them. The final song they played, “Don’t Delete The Kisses”, from 2017’s Visions Of A Life, is a personal favorite song of theirs which found me leaving with a smile on my face alongside my fellow concertgoers, counting down the days until the next Wolf Alice concert.
