Annabel Gutherz shares intimate ‘Loose Ends Sessions’ EP

Date:

A couple of months ago, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz welcomed fall in style with the release of her debut album, Loose Ends.  The 11-track project touched on various people and places that played an essential role in the making of who Annabel is today, and featured many life lessons that are sure to inspire others who are finding their way.  Her heartfelt vocals and entertaining lyrics really brought the album to life and helped to establish her as an artist to look out for in the retro rock world.  As the year draws to a close, Annabel is giving fans one final treat with the release of Loose Ends Sessions, which contains live versions of “Checkmate,” “Bloomer,” and “Barcelona” from Loose Ends.

Fans of Loose Ends will definitely enjoy the Loose Ends Sessions, as it encompasses the essence of the themes found on the album.  From the cynical “Checkmate” to the earnest “Bloomer” and the flamboyant “Barcelona,” Annabel covers it all in these live sessions, taking us on a short but fulfilling ride.  As to why she chose these songs for the EP, Annabel reveals,

Each song pulls from a unique sonic palette and topically explores a different facet of my life’s expanding mosaic of stories, which is why I thought they would be especially fun to perform.”

Annabel’s enthusiasm is very apparent in the videos for the tracks, which can be found below.  Backed by Dominque Messier on the drums and Kaven Girouard on guitar, Annabel effortlessly dives into these songs, performing them with grace and style.  The three artists take on that intangible energy that arises during a live setting, creating everlasting magic with every note.  Hopefully, these performances will bring even more meaning to the tracks and draw in new fans.

You can listen to the Loose Ends Sessions EP on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
