Wild Rivers announce US and European tour dates

American band Wild Riverscomposed of Devon Glover (Vocals, Bass), Khalid Yassein (Guitar, Vocals, Keys), and Andrew Oliver (Lead Guitar, Bass), have announced their US and European tour dates. The tour begins on September 11th, 2021 in Boulder, Colorado at Fox Theatre. Nashville native Lindsey Lomis and Jillian Jacqueline will open on select dates.

The tour announcement trails off of the high from the band’s latest single “Amsterdam.” Produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten) and Wild Rivers, “Amsterdam” tells the tale of a long-distance relationship that couldn’t pass the test of time. It’s depicted through the indie trio’s to-die-for harmonious offerings and coming-of-age sound.

“’Amsterdam’ is the retelling of a friend’s breakup, who had big plans to move to Europe to be with her long-distance boyfriend,” says songwriter Khalid Yassein. “One day, out of nowhere, he called it all off over the phone. I imagined all the things she had been looking forward to, and I started writing a song from her perspective. Your early 20s are such a hard, transitional age. You’re coming out of your youth and strewn into the real world, and it’s sink or swim. Oftentimes, you make plans and envision this reality that doesn’t pan out as you expected, and that type of devastation felt like a really raw and relatable emotion that I wanted to draw from.”

Get your tickets here. A portion of all the ticket sales will go to Voices of Our City Choir, an organization that provides aid to San Diego’s homelessness, and Reverb’s #musicclimaterevolution.
