Gary Clark Jr. is often compared to the late, great Jimi Hendrix, and rightfully so — from his style to the way he fills out his set with powerful lengthy guitar solos, it’s hard not to draw comparisons between the two musicians. Originally from Austin, Texas, Gary Clark Jr. is currently touring North America and has stopped in Los Angeles to play four nights at the Fonda Theatre. I was lucky enough to catch his third show at the small Hollywood venue; it was sold out and fully packed with fans who were enthusiastically jamming out to each guitar-heavy rock and blues song he played.
