One of indie music’s most thrilling rising stars, alt-pop star Caroline Romano is the ultimate romantic. Through pop bangers that combine charming honesty with deep artistry, Romano is an artist who explores heartbreak, love and relationships with no fear. After spending the last few years establishing herself as a fierce indie pop trailblazer, the singer-songwriter now prepares to release her third EP, It Took Me Falling, this Friday.

Able to perfectly execute passion and vulnerability, Romano’s upcoming EP showcases a heightened musical maturity, with heartfelt singles like “Unsteady” and “Up the Stairs” conveying both a sonic and lyrical growth.

It Took Me Falling carries with it the ultimate theme of Romano’s artistry — the necessity of pain in both love and discovering oneself. In order to live life — and love — to the fullest, one must be willing to take the risk, and Romano’s upcoming record conveys this journey through the eyes of an unapologetic hopeless romantic.

After releasing her breakthrough debut album Oddities and Prodigies in 2022, the singer has only continued to rise in the music scene. Mississippi born and Nashville based, she made headway with her debut album, and continued to share her diverse musical prowess with listeners through unforgettable singles like “girl in a china shop” and “Tell Her I Said Hi.” In the years that followed, the release of her two EPs A Brief Epic (2023) and How The Good Girls Die (2025) earned Romano significant praise.

Now, the “Cruel and Unusual Punishment” singer prepares to release what just might be her most personal body of work to date. A project years in the making, It Took Me Falling is a passionate expression of lessons learned and the beautiful risks that are needed to learn them.
