You need to hear Zoo Culture’s “Escape Plan”

Date:

We last heard from Birmingham-based trio Zoo Culture when they opened a date on Arlie’s ‘crashing down tour’ — then, we declared that you needed to pay close attention to these guys, because their style of indie rock was sure to be selling out larger rooms very quickly. It’s clear that listeners have been paying attention: their track “Sundress” just crossed the 2 million stream mark on Spotify.

Today, the band has released “Escape Plan”, which is their first new music since last year’s “Daisy”. It’s another charming piece of indie rock, with lead singer Alex Drummond delivering a strong vocal performance that brings to mind the best of Matty Healy of The 1975. It’s a grungier track than what we’ve previously heard from the band, and the 2:35 length is all killer with no filler. Listen to “Escape Plan” below.
