Waterparks sign record deal with BMG and announce release date for new single “Red Guitar”

Date:

Waterparks have announced that they’ve signed a record deal with BMG (and promise it’s a good one). In one of their latest cryptic social media posts teasing new music, the band shared the news and told fans to “send your boos and congratulations now.” The Houston trio also shared that they’ve signed with Range Media as their new management.

Waterparks joins BMG’s massive roster alongside the likes of Louis Tomlinson, Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz and more. It marks the band’s first label signing since leaving Fueled By Ramen last year after releasing their fifth studio album, Intellectual Property, with them in 2023.

As every era for Waterparks usually begins, the band began to tease new music with these cryptic posts starting on June 30th. The first post, which featured the band’s logo written on a yellow background, sparked fans’ excitement for this new era after the band’s last independently led project, IP2, ended up being scrapped last summer. The latest installment comes with a teaser video that reveals their new single “Red Guitar” will be released on July 18th. Pre-save for the new single can be found here

Waterparks also announced earlier this summer that they’ve joined the lineup for Reading & Leeds and are set to perform on the festival’s mainstage on August 22nd and 24th. Tickets and information for the festival can be found here
