Tyler Childers announces highly anticipated album ‘Snipe Hunter’ out July 25

Date:

Seven-time Grammy-nominated artist Tyler Childers has announced his forthcoming album, Snipe Hunter, to be released July 25 with Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records. Produced by Rick Rubin, with additional production from Childers himself and Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso, the 13-track project promises to be one of Childers’ most expansive and expressive works to date.

A longtime fan favorite, “Nose on the Grindstone” is finally available on streaming platforms as the album’s lead single. A staple in his live set for years, the track’s release is sure to resonate with longtime followers while introducing new fans to one of Childers’ most powerful narratives. Accompanying the single is a live performance video.

Known for blurring his combination of country, folk, and Americana, Childers continues to evolve sonically with Snipe Hunter. The album showcases the Kentucky-born artist’s signature storytelling and raw lyricism, while embracing new creative directions. The project follows his critically acclaimed 2023 release Rustin’ In The Rain, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

Childers’ past releases have earned praise from outlets including Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Billboard and NPR Music, with Rustin’ In The Rain solidifying his place as “one of his generation’s most important voices.” His growing catalog continues to strike a chord across genres and generations, establishing him as a truly singular force in modern music.

In support of Snipe Hunter, Childers will extend his “On the Road Tour” through the fall, featuring multiple sold-out dates across the U.S. and Europe. He will headline London’s O2 Arena on November 15, joined by special guests The Magic Numbers and Omni of Halos.
