Turnstile makes history with Tiny Desk concert

Date:

Maryland hardcore punk band Turnstile have made history with their Tiny Desk concert this week. If somehow you haven’t heard or seen on social media, NPR’s iconic live music series had their first-ever stage dive. That was none other than Turnstile’s lead singer, Brendan Yates.

The band performed five songs from their 2025 album, Never Enough, including the self-titled track, “Dreaming,” “Sunshower,” “I Care” and “Birds.” The LP became their highest-charting album when it debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200 with 38,000 album-equivalents units – their best week ever.

The genre-defining project was accompanied by a film titled Turnstile: Never Enough, directed by Yates and the band’s guitarist, Pat McCrory. It is now available to stream on demand here.

Riding the high of their Tiny Desk performance success, Turnstile hits the road next week with the Never Enough Tour, bringing along supporting acts SPEED and Jane Remover, as well as specials guests, Amyl & The Sniffers, Blood Orange, and Mannequin Pussy on select dates.
