Twenty One Pilots started The Clancy Tour: Breach last night, playing to a sold-out crowd of 26,000 people at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati. With a total of 27 songs across a main stage and several small stages, the night saw fire, confetti, and barricade grabs.
Prior to the start of the show, light-up wrist bands were handed out to the standing audience (with seated audiences finding some in their cup holders). During several of the songs, the wrist bands lit up with colours corresponding to the album being played.
During soundcheck, the duo performed “Heavydirtysoul,” “Nico and the Niners,” “Drum Show” and “Routines in the Night,” with all of these also performed during the show, as well. The night was filled with surprises, with “We Don’t Believe What’s On TV” and “House of Gold” being performed in full for the first time since 2019. “Doubt”‘s demo version was played, rather than the released version, before Tyler Joseph moved to another stage to perform “Ride.”
Tyler was moving between stages for much of the show, including “Ride” for which he moved between small stages for each verse before returning to the main stage. Also during “Ride,” a very young audience member named Brenus was pulled from the barricade and onto the stage to sing the final chorus. The rest of the arena chanted his name following the song.
Following “Chlorine,” a flag with “Cincinnati” written across it along with a fire torch was walked back to the main stage. In an unplanned turn of events, the fire went out and had to be lit again halfway back to the main stage. Tyler and drummer Josh Dun started the night with black masks and jumpsuits on, but slowly stripped these away and changed during the show. Notably, the duo wore jumpers reminiscent of the 2018 Trench album while playing songs from that project.
With the recent release of Breach, there were also several live debuts of songs with “The Contract” and “RAWFEAR” opening the show. “Garbage” was also debuted with “Drum Show” finishing the main act. During the encore, “City Walls” also had its debut.

Another recent release the duo performed was “The Line,” which was featured on the Arcane season 2 soundtrack. Unlike the recorded version of the song, Tyler sung the high note in the line “I can feel the light shine on my face” the same way he did in the 2024 Game Awards performance.
“City Walls,” “Guns For Hands,” “Stressed Out” and Trees” closed off the show with red confetti blasting through canons. The arena was hot, with security handing out water to audiences for most of the night.

Merch was also on sale, with Trench- and Breach-themed flags, a yellow beanie, a red cap and the Breach record selling for $35. An enamel pin set and bandana were selling for $25 and a tour poster for $30. There were three hoodie designs, all inspired by the current tour. A dark blue zip-up went for $130 and two grey and black designs sold for $85. A black and red Breach jumper was available for $65. Finally, there were 5 t-shirts on sale: two tour shirts with dates on the back (one white and red and the other black and red), one grey and white Breach shirt, a red artist shirt, and a green and yellow shirt.
The tour continues across North America with the next show in Toronto on the 20th of September. If you’re hoping to grab tickets, more information can be found here.
