You all saw The Linda Lindas go viral last year, right? Amidst the pandemic, the young (literally — the drummer, Mila, is eleven years old) garage rock group out of Los Angeles slapped us with a breath of fresh air with their performance of their song “Racist Sexist Boy” at LA’s Public Library; that video has 1.4 million views and counting, and it led to cosigns from Bikini Kill and Best Coast. The band quickly signed to legendary label Epitaph Records, and today they’ve announced their debut album Growing Up, which is due April 8th.
They’ve unveiled the title track for the album today, and it’s just a fun, ripping piece of rock music that’s sure to have you bouncing along. The band is going to open for punk rock luminaries Jawbreaker and making an appearance at this year’s When We Were Young festival, so now’s your chance to get on the wagon before it really gets going. The music video was directed entirely on an iPhone 13 Pro Max by Humberto Leon, and you can watch them rock it out below.
