Spacey Jane are back on the scene with a surprise single, their first new track since the smashing success of If That Makes Sense from May 2025. After earning 6 spots on Triple J’s hot 100, the Aussie quartet is back for more.
After teasing the song by creating a Letterboxd account on which the four band members ranked their favorite movies, they released “Do You Really Love Her” on March 13 accompanied by a music video. The track is a melancholy post-breakup earworm, complete with moody chords and Caleb’s delightfully sulky voice. The song is about the fallout that comes after breaking up with a movie star, constantly being reminded of them every time you tune in to a new film.
Spacey Jane thrives in the space of thoughtful, contemplative breakup tunes, with creatively produced instrumentals and poignantly teary lyrics. Their tracks span a mixture of feelings within this process; some tackle themes of anger, disappointment, regret, longing, and even acceptance. Spacey Jane consistently and expertly captures every emotion that follows the bitter end of an imperfect love story.
